Embedded Controller for Alarm System
One of ICP DAS’ customers has a factory located in Taoyuan, 40 kilometers south of Taipei, previously used by Siemens and AB PLC. However, the alarm system at the manufacturing facility benefited by the new ICP DAS controllers since it would no longer be necessary to utilize a PC or touch monitor to configure and control the alarm system. The one hundred (100) Digital Inputs and one hundred and ten (110) Digital Outputs with One (1) I-8817 and two (2) I-8417 controllers collect signals from the entire facility and control the entire process. The information displays on I-8817 and I-8417, and ring. On board dial-up Modem function allows the controllers to page someone and to send alarm messages through regular phone line once the alarm happens.
